Landing Gear Transmission
During our recent Annual, we noticed the landing gear transmission was worn and needed some TLC. This became apparent when we inspected the ball screw assembly for “shaft end play”. Shaft end play is movement between the ball screw shaft and the transmission housing. This is fairly easy to inspect when the plane is on jacks.
